For our customer we are looking for a VMware expert (w / m / d) Aria Framework data * Start: 18.02.2026 * Duration: about 3 months * Capacity: 2 days per week * Location: 100% remote Project overview Our customer needs support from an experienced VMware expert to optimize and migrate the existing VMware infrastructure. The cooperation is fully remote with a weekly load of at least 2 days. Project objective Optimisation and modernisation of VMware infrastructure with a focus on life cycle management, migration, monitoring and compliance. This includes in particular: * Implementation of a holistic lifecycle management * Migration to a distributed switch configuration * Optimization of the VMware Tool Management * Configuration and configuration of Aria for monitoring and reporting * Implementation of CIS-Complete checks Activities: 1\. Lifecycle Management * Configuration of a single image * Integration of driver updates (via OneView or HPE depot) * Recording of the VMware Toolversion * Configuration of the host profiles 2\. Migration to Distributed Switch * Migration to distributed switch configuration in the new cluster (DMZ) 3\. VMware Tools Management * Analysis of the current situation * Creation of recommendations for lifecycle management * Implementation of optimized processes 4\. Aria Configuration * Aria configuration for different reports (snapshots / Oversized / Undersized etc.) * Configuration of Aria Operations for Logs 5\. CIS Compliance * Configuration of CIS complete checks Requirements: The contractor must have informed knowledge in the following areas: * VMware vSphere Lifecycle Management * Single Image Configuration and Host Profile Management * Integration of HPE OneView or HPE depot for driver updates * VMware Distributed Switch (vDS) configuration and migration * VMware Tools Lifecycle Management * VMware Aria (formerly vRealize) Operations * VMware Aria Operations for Logs * CIS (Center for Internet Security) Compliance for VMware * Experience with DMZ environments Nice-to-have: * HPE hardware knowledge * Experience with automated deployment processes * Knowledge in scripting (PowerCLI, Python) * Certifications: VCP (VMware Certified Professional) or higher
