**Project Description**
The Lead Business Analyst & IT Designer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the functional and technical integrity of solutions delivered within the DSC ecosystem, acting as the design authority for service applications and cockpit behavior and bridging business objectives with technical execution.
You will take end-to-end responsibility for solution design and integrity across the DSC domain and enable high-quality, scalable digital service solutions by combining deep analytical expertise, architectural awareness and leadership in complex, cross-functional initiatives.

4. **Location:** Remote, with 1 week per month on site in Düsseldorf
**Tasks**
1. Take end-to-end responsibility for functional and technical solution design and integrity across the DSC domain.
2. Act as design authority for service applications and cockpit behavior, ensuring that business objectives are consistently reflected in the technical implementation.
3. Define and maintain the overarching functional and technical solution vision for the DSC ecosystem.
4. Prepare high-level architecture diagrams to guide development and secure alignment with the target architecture.
5. Define interface contracts and integration patterns across systems and services, ensuring coherent end-to-end flows.
6. Ensure that non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability, security) are considered from the outset of solution design.
7. Support product owners and teams during the refinement of epics and complex user stories, translating business needs into robust solution designs.
8. Collaborate closely with development, QA, and architecture teams to ensure solution feasibility and continuous alignment throughout delivery.
9. Provide mentorship and guidance to analysts and designers, contributing to the growth of analytical and design maturity within the team.
10. Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and senior developers on solution options and design decisions.
**Experience & Skills**
1. Strong analytical background with proven experience as a lead analyst/designer for complex, cross-functional initiatives in a digital services context.
2. Deep understanding of distributed and cloud-native system architectures.
3. Expertise in API and integration design, including modern patterns and best practices for integrating systems and services.
4. Ability to define high-level architecture, interface contracts, and integration patterns and to ensure architectural alignment across teams.
5. Proven capability to ensure that non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability, security) are embedded in solution designs from the start.
6. Strong collaboration skills and experience working closely with product owners, architects, developers, and QA teams in a delivery-oriented setup.
7. High level of communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge solution architects and developers constructively and at eye level.
8. Experience in mentoring and guiding other analysts and designers, fostering analytical and design excellence within the team.
