75% remote: Observability Product Manager (m/f/d)

Job description:

For our client we are looking for a Observability Product Manager (m/f/d)
Start: 18.08.2025
Duration: 31.12.2025 (long term engagement (2026))
Capacity: Full-time (100% preferred)
Location: 75% Remote, 25% Berlin (1 week Berlin / 3 weeks remote in rotation), up to 50% onsite in peak times
Language: English, German is a plus
Tasks:
- Develop and communicate a strategic vision, clear goals, and a roadmap for observability capabilities
- Analyze and synthesize customer needs, pain points, and jobs-to-be-done related to observability
- Create a product vision focused on reliability, self-service, and operational excellence
- Prepare and effectively communicate a roadmap with key milestones, features, and enhancements to relevant stakeholders
- Continuously analyze industry trends, customer requirements, and emerging technologies to identify product gaps and opportunities for new features or products
- Coordinate with product teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality observability features and drive continuous improvement
- Prioritize features and user stories based on business value, customer feedback, and market trends to ensure efficient resource allocation
- Align with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation, remove blockers, and clarify priorities
- Collaborate with quality assurance to define and maintain high standards for product releases
- Coordinate with operations for smooth rollout of new features
- Monitor progress and ensure continuous improvement of observability capabilities
- Provide technical coordination, including dependency analysis and priority recommendations
- Consult with stakeholders to understand their needs
- Gather feedback and insights to identify areas for improvement and integrate them into product development
- Promote observability capabilities through internal communication, presentations, and direct stakeholder engagement
- Initiate measures to educate and enable stakeholders, such as creating self-service onboarding guides, demos, and best practice documentationrelated to observability#
Skills (must-have):
- A minimum of 3 years of product management or product ownership experience
- Experience with at least one public cloud platform (e.g., Kubernetes, Networking, Cloud Storage, and Monitoring)
- Deep experience in operational workflows and an understanding of how observability provides a clear view of the lifecycle of telemetry data in cloud environments
- Experience with DevSecOps practices such as CI/CD, GitOps, image and runtime security
- Experience in gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing customer requirements, conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and advocating for the customer within the development team
- Experience in creating a clear product vision and strategy, as well as associated product management artifacts (roadmaps, product specifications, feature backlogs, product descriptions, etc.) in the voice of users/customers, aligned with that strategy
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English (at least C1 level)
Skills (should-have):
- Relevant certifications in product management or cloud technologies are a plus
- Experience with test-driven, behavior-driven, or observability-driven development
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, JIRA, Confluence)
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
