Project description
As part of a public sector project, you support the development, automation and protection of a software-defined networking (SDN) infrastructure. They integrate modern SDN concepts into existing DevSecOps processes, automate networks and systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and ensure security & compliance according to the principles of DevSecOps. Their role is crucial to provide a safe, innovative and efficient infrastructure.
Framework parameters
- Start: approx. 2 May 2025
- Duration: to 31. December 2025
- Capacity: 150 days (140 days remote, 10 days on site)
- Location: Bonn (possibly also other locations in the federal area), remote only possible within Germany
- hourly rate: approx. 90 €/ h
- Special features: readiness for safety inspection / sabotage protection required
Tasks
- Development, automation and protection of a SDN infrastructure
- Implementation and integration of modern SDN concepts into existing DevSecOps processes
- Automation of networks and systems by means of IaC (e.g. ansible, terraform)
- implementation of CI / CD pipelines (GitLab CI / CD)
- Integration of Security & Compliance according to DevSecOps principles (e.g. Shift-Left, Hardening)
- API-controlled management of network environments
- Participation in agile scum processes (sprint, refinations)
Experience & knowledge
- Based experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)
- knowledge in CI / CD with GitLab
- experience in the area of DevSecOps, policy-as-code, hardening
- Good knowledge of Linuxadministration (Bash, Python)
- experience with software-defined networking (e.g. Cisco ACI / NX-OS, VMware NSX)
- API-based network automation and orchestration
- experience with network tools such as NetBox or Nautobot
- Understanding modern network
- and NSoT concepts
- Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- knowledge in VMware Aria Suite / vRealize
- Logging & monitoring (e.g. Prometheus, ELK)
- experience with Kubernets / CloudNativa environments
- Public sector experience
