90% remote: software placement in the data center for Windows and Linux

Job description:

For our customer we are looking for an expert (w / m / d) in the field of software packaging for data centers.
Framework data:
Start: asap
Duration: 31.12.2026
Utilization: if possible in full time
Location: Remote, 1x per month votes in Berlin or Würzburg
Activities / tasks:
- Creation, adaptation and maintenance of software packages for Windows and Linux systems
- Automation of software distribution using packaging tools (e.g. chocolatey, shell scripts, PowerShell, Bash)
- creation and processing of JSON configuration files for the control of packaging processes
- Quality assurance and testing of the packages in different environments
- Documentation of the packaging processes and guidelines
- Cooperation with software development, IT security and infrastructure teams
Technical requirements:
- A well-founded knowledge of software packaging on Windows (MSI, EXE, Chocolatey) and Linux (RPM (RedHat), shell scripts)
- experience with JSON for configuration and data structuring
- Good knowledge in PowerShell, Bash and if necessary Python
- experience with software distribution system Ansible AAP
- knowledge in version management (e.g. Git)

Language skills:
- German: at least B2 (technical communication)
Qualification:
- completed training in the IT field (e.g. technical information for system integration) or comparable qualifications
