Job description:
We are looking for * * Architect and Backend Developer * * Haga-Helia.
* * Property description: * * This acquisition relates to the publicly funded TKI project Generative AI- Enhanced Knowledge Management in Business (GAIK) financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project is jointly implemented by Haga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (HHUAS), Tampere University (TAU) and Helsinki University (HY). The project will be managed by the Hague-Helia University of Applied Sciences, which will, if necessary, tender the IT services needed for the TKI project and the external experts of the research group. The GAIK project creates freely-used artificial intelligence tools for the needs of SMEs. The GAIK project develops an open re-usable toolbox (GAIK Toolkit) to support SMEs in the design, configuration and deployment of data-based GenAI solutions. The toolbox focuses on three critical information processes: data collection, information availability and data synthesis. For the development of GAIK Toolkit, the contracting entity is bidding for IT consultation
- IT experts working under the guidance of the designated experts of the study group, doing actual IT development work for the project. Development work is ordered for those implemented by GAIK Toolkit in five parts. This competition concerns the first of these, the remaining four shares will be put to tender later. The planned implementation phases and sections of the GAIK Toolkit are:
- Configuration Wizard / Agency software development
- Toolkit UI / UX for business & technical users
- Connector frame work
- Security & compliance implementation (auth, roles, securities, audit logging)
- AIOps for monitoring, evaluation, and improvements (LLMOps) This contract notice calls for two experts to design and implement the GAIK toolkit (GAIK Toolkit) into the first implementation phase of the GAIK Toolkit. Configuration Wizard controls users step-by-step in defining GenAI's usage cases and configuration of decision-making processes through modular software components provided by the toolbox. * * Responsibilities of service provider experts: * *
- Review and comment on HHUAS researchers' plans, concepts and PoC-level prototypes (as technical sparring partner)
- Design and implement ready-to-produce toolbox components related to the subject of this acquisition
- Convert concept plans and prototypes to sustainable, maintenance and deployment software solution
- Follow professional software development practices and, for example, develop appropriate documentation on the components implemented and, for example, publish the source code as defined by HHAUS researchers * * Objectives of a job or project: * * The aim of this acquisition is to tender for the GAIK project for IT experts who design and implement the GAIK toolkit configuration Wizard. Configuration Wizard is an agent software component that supports users in creating generative artificial intelligence solutions by converting and orchestrating predefined software components and workflow platforms. The configuration wizard directs users through a structured step-by-step process that starts with business needs and ends with the solution configuration to be implemented. The configuration wizard supports the controlled definition of GenAI's operating cases, combines user needs with appropriate data processes (capture, access, synthesis), selects suitable components, connectors and workflow platforms, creates a configuration package that can be implemented as part of the GAIC toolboxes, and performs basic validation and consistency checks prior to deployment. Configuration controller delivered as backend service that can be performed in local development
- or a demonstration environment and a simple cloud environment. The acquired work is used for the implementation of the backend service and for the orchestration logic, integration into toolbox components (e.g. connectors, security mechanisms, control hooks), scripts, configuration files or container specifications that allow for initiation, shutdown and entry into service. HHUAS researchers are responsible for defining concepts, user flows and PoC level prototypes. The service provider's experts implement a technically mature, strong backend solution that meets these definitions and can be used as part of an open GAIK toolbox. GAIK Toolkit and Configuration Wizard will be published at the end of the project as a free open source solution for companies and individuals. The toolbox will be implemented using as many technologies and language models as possible. * * Expected result: * *
- A functional configuration wizard backend package
- Sufficient documentation for technical users
- Source code and configuration artefacts are delivered according to the licensing conditions defined by HHUAS Delivery does not include end-user training, development of GenAI base models or long-term operational support
- or hosting services unless specifically agreed. The experts of the service provider work in their own premises with their own tools, guided by HHUAS project managers and architects. One of the experts acts as architect / lead developer. * * More specific requirements: * * Core functions of the configuration wizard:
- Controlled collection and gradual configuration of GenAI applications
- Combining collected requirements with general and company-specific use cases
- Component selection logic according to user needs
- Manage workflow drawings and workmodel templates
- Generating configuration files for implemented case packages and solutions
- Validation of configurations, consistency checks, justifications and error feedback * * General requirements: * *
- The solution must support open and re-usable use
- The implementation should be in line with information security for SMEs
- and data protection principles;
- All results are transferable to the contracting entity under conditions compatible with the development of public research and open toolbox
- The service should mainly operate in English * * Expert skills: * *
- Strong software expertise and experience in GenAI based systems
- Design and implementation of Backend systems at Python
- Experience in transforming concept plans and prototypes into sustainable solutions
- Experience with the integration of large language models (LLM) through APIs
- Design and implementation of agent-based and multi-stage artificial intelligence workouts
- Experience in integrating external API interfaces and cloud computing without supplier dependence
- Ability to work in an iterative and research-driven development environment
