**IST &SI Assignment: Azure Big Data Analytics developer**
The Group Security Insider Threat Prevention & Security Investigation (ITP & SI) team is
responsible for protecting the client from insider threats. It develops and maintains
advanced solutions to achieve this.
The team consists of ~30 members, primarily based in Kista, with satellite offices in Plano and
Yokohama.
**Job description:**
Insider threat prevention and security investigations often require the collection and analysis of
large volumes of data from many different sources.
The client is now looking to develop a big data platform in Azure that meets ITP & SI’s current and
future requirements. The role would be the lead architect and developer of this platform.
**The key objectives are:**
- Lead the design and deployment of our analytics platform on Microsoft Fabric.
- Integrate data sources and build robust pipelines.
- Enable real-time and batch analytics.
- Develop Power Platform solutions (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) to support
business workflows and reporting.
- Create custom web applications.
The expectation is the person will quickly be able to support the business stakeholders in
designing and deploying specific use cases on to the big data platform.
The role will interact with other members of the ITP & SI unit (investigators, forensics engineers)
as well as other stakeholders outside of ITP & SI, such as the client's Group IT.
The consultant will work with a team of architects, developers, investigators and forensics
specialists in designing, documenting, and deploying a big data platform in Azure, including
capabilities to:
- Collect data
- Store data
- Process data (e.g. decryption, normalization etc.)
- Analyze data
The team works agile in JIRA, working in two-weeks sprints with daily stand-up meetings.
This role is expected to work hands-on with technical/operational tasks as well as facilitate and
document meetings and workshops with key stakeholders.
The role also includes training the ITP & SI team.
**Skills requirements:**
The client is seeking an experienced Azure Big Data consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft
Fabric to drive the design and implementation of our next-generation analytics platform. The
consultant will collaborate with the ITP & SI team to architect scalable, secure, and costeffective
data solutions that leverage Fabric’s unified data capabilities.
**The candidate must have extensive experience:**
- Architecting and implementing solutions using Microsoft Fabric components.
- Integrating Fabric with external data sources and legacy systems.
- Developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models optimized for performance and
usability.
- Developing in Power Platform: Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate.
- With web development using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks like
React or .NET.
- Working with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and API integrations.Leveraging Power BI for
data visualization and reporting.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define data requirements and translating them into
Fabric-native solutions.
- Conducting performance tuning, cost optimization, and security reviews.
- Providing training and documentation to internal teams for long-term sustainability.
**The following Microsoft certifications are preferred:**
- Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate.
Experience working with Azure OpenAI is preferred.
Experience working agile is mandatory.
Experience working in JIRA is preferred.
The person must have excellent collaboration and team skills and must contribute to the ITP & SI
team spirit in a positive way.
Fluent English is a mandatory requirement.
This is a temporary consultant position for approximately 6-9 months reporting to the Head of
the Data Analytics & Advisory team within the client's Security ITP & SI.
**Start date**: October or November 2025
**End date**: 6-9 months from start
**Location**: Kista/Stockholm is mandatory. 3 days per week minimum.
