Job Description:
Kommuninvest has initiated a comprehensive project to establish a new data warehouse from scratch. The new data warehouse will be implemented with infrastructure code in Azure and will use Python, Airflow, SQL Server, dbt, Git, Power BI, DataHub, and Azure DevOps as central technologies.
The first delivery of the project focuses on risk and authority reporting and is expected to be completed by early 2026. During this period, one of the developers will be on parental leave, and we are seeking a replacement.
Job Requirements:
As a data engineer in the project, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical solutions for handling data in the new Azure data warehouse.
Job Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a modern technical data platform
* Develop and maintain data pipelines
* Model and implement physical data warehouses (data lake and databases)
* Ensure systematic validation of data quality
* Manage code versions and work with continuous deliveries (CI/CD)
Requirements include good knowledge of data processing with Python, SQL, and dbt, as well as experience with building pipelines in Apache Airflow. Additionally, experience with working in and around the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and a genuine interest in the field of data management are required.
Further requirements include good competence in relational databases, primarily SQL Server, as well as knowledge of modern data storage techniques and formats such as Azure Data Lake Storage and Parquet. Experience with data modeling, data validation, code management, and work with CI/CD in Azure DevOps is also meritorious, as is experience with working with company-wide data catalogs.
The development will be carried out in close contact with the business and to understand the requirements, it is important to have previous experience of working in a financial institution or similar organization, preferably with a focus on authority reporting. Since all documentation and communication will be in Swedish, it is also a requirement that the consultant can speak fluent Swedish.

The consultant we are looking for:
* Has worked as a data engineer and data manager for at least five years
* Has experience in data processing with Python and SQL
* Has experience with data modeling
* Has experience with working with modern data storage techniques and formats such as Azure Data Lake Storage and Parquet
* Has experience with working with master data management
* Has experience with Apache Airflow or similar scheduling tools
* Has experience with working in Azure and Azure DevOps
* Has experience with CI/CD in Azure DevOps
* Speaks fluent Swedish
Meritorious:
* Experience from working in a credit market or financial sector, preferably with experience of working with authority reporting
* Experience with dbt
* Experience with working with data catalogs
* Experience with working with Power BI
