Job description:
Our customer is currently looking for one for a Data Engineer.
You become a key person in how we:**
Onboarding metadata from different source systems to our data catalog
Creating and maintaining data lineage
Supports data quality
Automates flows around metadata and directory
You work closely with data engineers, devvops, data stewards, architects and operations in a modern data/cloud platform.
**Work data:**
Connect databases, reporting tools, pipelines, etc. to the data directory
Ensure that tables, columns, reports and APIs are properly described
Build and improve data lineage from source systems to consumption
Support the implementation of data quality rules and expose results in the catalogue
Write script/tool for automation and integrate into CI/CD flows
Collaborate with data stewards to link technical objects to business concepts
Your profile:**
Some years of experience as Data Engineer, BI developer or similar
Very good knowledge of SQL, preferably Python or other scripting language
Experience of ETL/ELT, data pipelines and DevOps work (Git, CI/CD)
Interest in metadata, structure and traceability
Communicate unhindered in Swedish and English
**Meritation is:**
Experience of data catalogues, preferably Alation, otherwise such as Collibra, Purview, AB Initio
Experience in data quality frameworks and modern data/cloud platforms
Previous work in regulated environment, preferably bank/finance and insurance
