For our client, a banking company, we realize a recruitment process on the position **Deployment and Testing Support Engineer**.
**Main Resposibilities:**
Support testing and deployment of Core Banking components in Client’s deployment pipeline.
Maintenance (bugfixing, patching and various adjustments in functionality) of an internally built Configuration management tool, which is managing configuration, deployments etc. for our 25 ish development and test environments as well as 4 PreProd and Prod env.
It is a Java application running in Weblogic, also managed in the tool itself.
There might be ad hoc maintenance of other in house developed tools.
**An ideal candidate profile:**
- Java development background at enterprise system level
- Good understand of Java Design Patterns and OO Design
- Experience in developing REST web services in Java
- Experience with Weblogic or JBoss
- Proficient in the Java, Java EE & core libraries.WebLogic
- Proficient in Python
**Nice to have:**
- Experience with Ansible
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes technologies (MKE)
- Experience with Oracle DB
- Experience in Linux/Unix
- Security skills, certificates, JWT tokens, etc.
Work experience:
- Fluency in Java development at enterprise system level (DevOps developer)
- Understanding what it means to maintain running tool (need to be able to solve urgent tickets)
- Good communication skills – looking for transparent, honest communication
- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot applications using logs
- Ability to perform tasks independently
- Solid grasp of DevOps/CICD principles
