🔹 For our Client we are looking for **DevSecOps Engineer**🔹
**✔️About the Role:**
Are you passionate about creating world-class developer experiences and enabling engineering teams through automation, self-service, and AI-powered tooling? As a Senior Full-Stack DevSecOps Engineer on the Backstage Internal Developer Experience Team, you will help define how thousands of developers interact with our internal platform, tools, and services.
Backstage is our central developer portal—and the core of the Internal Developer Platform (IDP). In this role, you will extend Backstage with custom plugins, golden path integrations, AI-assisted workflows, and unified experiences that reduce cognitive load and accelerate delivery. You will also leverage modern AI tooling—including MCP (Model Context Protocol), embeddings, vector search, and LLM-based agents—to reshape how developers onboard, discover information, and make technical decisions.
This role is ideal for someone who loves platform engineering, developer experience, DevSecOps, full-stack development, and applying AI to real-world engineering workflows.
**✔️ What You’ll Do:**
**Build & Evolve the Backstage Platform**
* Develop and maintain Backstage plugins, templates, catalog configurations, and UI extensions tailored for the internal developer platform.
* Integrate golden path workflows (CI/CD blueprints, IaC templates, security patterns) directly into Backstage.
* Improve discoverability, consistency, and usability across developer workflows.
**Advance Developer Experience with AI**
* Integrate MCP-compatible tools, LLM assistants, and AI-powered capabilities into Backstage to support:
* contextual help and troubleshooting,
* intelligent code generation,
* documentation summarization and augmentation,
* automated onboarding and service scaffolding,
* infrastructure insights and recommendations.
* Build and maintain AI toolchains involving embeddings, vector stores, RAG pipelines, and internal knowledge search.
**Deliver Full-Stack & Platform Engineering Solutions**
* Build secure, scalable backend services (Node.js, TypeScript, Python) and polished UI components using React and Backstage’s framework.
* Implement Backstage integrations with cloud services, identity providers, secrets management, code repositories, artifact stores, and deployment systems.
* Support lifecycle automation for service creation, provisioning, dependency updates, and standardization.
**Strengthen DevSecOps Practices Across the Platform**
* Embed secure-by-default standards into Backstage software templates.
* Integrate security automation—including SAST, SCA, DAST, SBOM generation, and policy-as-code—into developer workflows.
* Enable automated guardrails via Backstage plugins and catalog policies.
**Collaborate Across Teams to Drive Adoption**
* Partner closely with the Golden Path team, platform engineering, cloud teams, and security to ensure a cohesive end-to-end experience.
* Advocate for DX improvements and drive adoption through demos, documentation, training, and developer outreach.
* Act as subject matter expert on Backstage and AI-driven developer experiences.
**✔️What You’ll Bring:**
**Core Technical Skills**
* Backstage Expertise: Experience developing custom Backstage plugins, templates, using the Software Catalog, and building enterprise-grade developer portals.
* Full-Stack Development: Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, REST/GraphQL APIs. Bonus for Python, Go, or cloud-native backend experience.
* DevSecOps Experience: Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, build/release automation, GitOps patterns, artifact management, and standardized service delivery.
* Cloud & Containers: Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or AKS, and with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
* Infrastructure & Automation: Knowledge of Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or related IaC tooling. Strong scripting fundamentals.
**AI & Automation Skills**
* Familiarity with or hands-on experience implementing:
* MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools and integrations.
* LLM-powered chat/assistants (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.).
* Vector databases / embeddings.
* RAG pipelines and knowledge retrieval.
* Automated documentation generation or contextual help systems.
* AI for code analysis, CI/CD optimization, or platform intelligence.
**Security & Governance Awareness**
* Understanding of identity/SSO, RBAC, secret management, compliance, and software supply chain security.
* Experience embedding policies and guardrails into developer workflows.
**Mindset & Collaboration**
* Strong empathy for developers and passion for improving their experience.
* Ability to communicate clearly with engineering teams, product owners, and security partners.
* Collaborative, curious, and always looking for ways to simplify, automate, and improve.
**✔️ We offer:**
* B2B agreement
* Transparent working conditions with both Ework and the client
* Current support during our cooperation
* Possibility to work in an international environment
* Collaborative environment in Swedish organizational culture
* Private medical care
* Life insurance
