Job description:

**To our customer ADDA purchasing centre, we are looking for an IT consultant to work with their furniture catalogue**
In order to meet customers’ needs for simple and digitally adapted drop-off support, Adda Inköping Centre developed a digital furniture catalogue in 2023. The purpose of the catalogue was to increase customer benefit while streamlining framework contract management.
This meant that one could:
(a) in a comprehensive, comprehensive, simple and modern way, get a clear overview of the products contained in the type-fall range;
*(b) easier to find sustainable product options and make environmentally smart choices, thereby getting closer to the goals of the 2030 Agenda
The catalogue also helped to streamline management by:
(a) some of the management work could be taken over in the catalogue and thus minimize the need for manual communication;
* b) provide better monitoring and control of current price updates
and product adjustments
**Description of the mission:**
* A consultant who can support and assist the Purchase Centre in its management mission to maintain operation, function and application management. This may also include some adjustments and improvements in the application.
In 2025/2026, Adda will develop a central data structure in PIM, which will be implemented in several categories, including Furniture. This means that during this period, a structural project will begin where data will be migrated to the new structure, while maintaining regular operation on the furniture catalogue.
In 2026, a new framework agreement will be launched, which means that all data will be re-imported (in the older structure or new PIM). This will be the focus of the consultant’s mission. This includes processing existing data from the furniture suppliers’ bids in the autumn/winter of 2025 to be presented in the catalogue. The structure (excel) is developed by Adda Purchase Centre and is internally processed by Adda.
The consultant is responsible for:**
* Application management where patches, plug-in updates are included
technical support to Adda
* assist in development planning, participate in management advice
develop proposals for new functionality or design that Adda requests
Refactory and modernization of existing frontend code
Implementing improvements in UI/UX to make the tool more user-friendly
Build components and views in line with modern frontend standards
Make sure the solution works seamlessly with WooCommerce backend
* Understand the data flow from Excel to frontend
* co-operation with Adda’s internal resources on the development and implementation of the new structure.
**Add is responsible for:**
* that content in the digital furniture catalogue is fact-reviewed and accurate
* dialogue with customers and suppliers
* Operation of the catalogue located at the BeeByte web hotel
* notify support cases to the consultant, whether it concerns the application or operation
About the Project**
ADDA Furniture Catalog is a custom-built web service that lists furniture using Word Press and WooCommerce as the basic platform. The service is not used for direct e-commerce – WooCommerce is used as a product database. The products are managed through external Excel files that are converted to CSV and imported via their own python-based import flow.
The catalogue was launched in the spring of 2023, which means that much of the front-end code is legacy and needs to be modernized and refactored.
**Competency requirements:**
**The consultant should have experience with:**
Very good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience in front-end development projects with WordPress and WooCommerce.
Experience in working with themes and/or REST API integration with WordPress.
Basic understanding of Python (to understand existing import flow)
Good habit of working with and improving legacy code.
Knowledge of modern front end frameworks, preferably React or Vue (the project may migrate to such a future).
Experience in building responsive interfaces.
* Knowledge of how data is processed and presented – e.g. via CSV imports, APIs or PIM solutions.
Good knowledge in Swedish, both speech and writing.
The consultant should have experience with:**
Experience in working with import flows for product data (CSV, Excel, PIM) at least 2 years
Experience with Git at least 1 year
* Experience in working with accessible web interfaces (WCAG)
Experience in working with STRUCT PIM (at least 2 years)

** Extract duration**: During the period 2025-10-13
- 2025-11-23, the consultant will have the opportunity to work in parallel with the current contracted consultant, whose contract ends from 2025-11-23. The surrender consultant is tasked with developing a handover document to create smooth transition. The contract runs at least 18 months, with the possibility of extending 1+1 years. Maximum contract time 42 months, i.e. 3.5 years. Extension shall be made in writing no later than 3 months before, otherwise the agreement ceases without written notice**. * *
**Place:** The assignment is carried out mainly at the supplier’s office but may, in case of individual needs and at Adda’s request, also be carried out on site at Adda in Stockholm.
Working time:** The size is estimated at about 30h a month. The situation can change over time, which means no volumes are guaranteed.
