Job description:
Our customer will discontinue the use of the old formats of Office files. This work requires support in the form of expertise by someone with very good knowledge of special Excel macros and VBAs.
scripts in both the old and the new formats as well as practical help with the conversion. Conversion will involve further development of the NSS system together with the system provider and will be used for inventory and automatic conversion. The role also involves helping and providing expertise in the conversion work of Excel macros and VBA scripts in Office. SAS scripts are often used in connection with macros, so that statistical processing is carried out in SAS and the result is further refined in Excel.
The old format is meant Office file extensions that end on .xls and .doc while the new format has file extensions such as .xlsx and docx.
Since the assignment requires a lot of contact and communication with users, the current consultant needs good social skills.

Excel: Understand how Excel works and its various functions.
* Programming Concept: Understand and practically apply the programming concepts
Macron and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications):
* Code review: Ability to review and edit code to ensure that the application works correctly.
* Troubleshooting: Be able to identify and solve problems in macros and VBA code.
* Adaptation: Customize existing macros and VBA scripts or create new ones to automate workflows.
* Office script:
*Action recording: Be able to use the action player to record and create Office scripts.
Code editing: Understanding the TypeScript code for more advanced scripts.
Security Awareness:
Understand the differences in security between VBA and Office scripts. The VBA has full access to your computer, while Office scripts only have access to the workbook.
Platform-independent thinking: Understanding the differences for macros, VBA scripts and Office
script and be able to suggest the best solution forward
Generation of Office: Differences Between Old and New Office Formats and How to Best Convert Old Format to New
Conversion: Understand and manage how to read and use metadata from office files to provide the user with the support needed for advanced automatic conversion of files.
Other programming languages: Be able to develop in other programming languages such as power shell and .net to develop code for conversion and modification of existing solutions.
