Lead Developer

Job description:

**For our client we are looking for a lead developer to Helsinki.**
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Lead development of data warehousing solutions for retail and corporate banking.
* Mentor and guide developers, promoting best practices and professional growth.
* Oversee the implementation of data solutions, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, validate solutions, and negotiate deliverables.
* Ensure alignment of the team’s work with clients broader data ecosystem.
* Foster an agile mindset for goal-oriented and iterative development.
* Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Extensive experience in data solutions and data integrations, including ETL/ELT development.
* Strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling best practices.
* Proficiency with **IBM DataStage, Teradata, Azure, and Python.**
* Proven experience in leading teams and promoting technical excellence.
* Expertise in implementing data warehousing solutions for large datasets.
* Experience in stakeholder management, from gathering requirements to negotiating deliverables.
* Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
* Strong communication skills in English
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Fluency in Finnish
* Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
**Location:** Helsinki, Finland (At the office once a week and when needed)
**Allocation:** 100%
**Assignment start date:** 10.3.2025
**Duration:** 31.1.2026 (11 months)
