Mainframe Developer

Job description:

**For our client we are looking for a Mainframe developer to banking industry.** The consultant will play a critical role in the design, development and maintenance of mainframe applications that support our clients consumer services.
**Must-have knowledge and experience**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* Proven experience of at least 7 years as a Mainframe Developer, with expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS and DB2
* Experience with software development life cycle
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment
**Nice-to-have knowledge and experience**
* Experience in Java Software development and Kafka is a plus
* 5
- years of experience in the financial domain, preferably in SWIFT services area
**Location:** Helsinki, Finland (2-3 days onsite per week)
**Allocation:** 100%
**Start date:** Asap
**End date:** 25.2.2026
**Language:** Fluent in English
