- remote work** 🔹
You will be part of the Global Data & Artificial Intelligence area, in the Data Engineering depart-ment of Data Management. Data Management is globally distributed and has for mission to har-ness the power of Data and Artificial Intelligence, integrating it seamlessly into the fabric of operations. We provide the foundation to integrate the areas of Data and Artificial Intel-ligence throughout the whole organization, empowering company to realize its strategic ambitions to create a connected data landscape. We drive the innovation, process definition, and platform implementation in the areas of data governance, data engineering design, master data management, metadata management, data marketplace, and data quality aligned with business priorities.
**✔️The Position**
The position is based in Warsaw, Poland and at our site in Ørestad, which is in Geater Copenhagen, Denmark. You will be working remotely in a global environment. Nevertheless, you must expect that, core meetings or workshops occasionally take place in Danish or Polish office. On a personal note, we are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic and evolving field. You should be adaptable to ambiguity, curious about emerging technologies, and committed to fostering collaboration across teams. Your ability to inspire innovation, drive business outcomes, and lead with inclusivity will be critical to your success in this role.
**✔️Main responsibilities include:**
* Provide visionary leadership to multiple teams, fostering innovation and technical excel-lence.
* Drive the enterprise data engineering strategy, acting as a trusted advisor for technology and business stakeholders.
* Establish and continuously refine best practices and standards for modern and efficient data management.
* Lead the design and implementation of advanced data pipelines, platforms, and products, supporting FAIR data principles.
* Oversee delivery of scalable, future-ready data management solutions.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to translate complex requirements into innovative solu-tions, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
* Develop and monitor processes to ensure exceptional data quality and system perfor-mance company-wide.
**✔️Candidate Profile**
* A master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Data, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
* 12
- years’ experience in software and data engineering, including 6
- years leading enterprise-grade data engineering initiatives.
* Deep expertise in advanced data modeling, integration, metadata management, and data governance.
* Extensive experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS); certifications are a strong plus.
* Strong proficiency in Databricks, with deep knowledge of optimizing data workflows and analytics.
* Extensive experience in Python for advanced data manipulation, automation, and model development.
* Strong SQL skills for complex queries, performance tuning, and data extraction.
* Experience with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies for reliable software delivery.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards within the life sciences sector.
* Experience working with LLM (Large Language Model) APIs (e.g., OpenAI) for data-centric work, including automation, data augmentation, and advanced analytics.
* Proven track record in leading technical teams, developing talent, and driving organizational transformation.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
