Job description:
Our client is looking for a senior AWS/DevOps engineer to take technical ownership of the SWS platform — next-generation cloud-based workshop system.
The role spans platform engineering, DevOps and developer productivity, enabling multiple development teams to deliver features efficiently and securely on top of the SWS foundation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, build and maintain AWS infrastructure (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
- Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, including runner configuration
- Deliver Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation)
- Ensure platform compliance, stability and high availability
- Drive automation and standardisation across the delivery toolchain
- Support development teams with deployment flows, integrations and observability
- Contribute to platform architecture, cost optimisation and long-term scalability
**Required Senior Competence**
AWS (senior level)
- 5–10
- years AWS production experience
- Deep knowledge of ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, VPC networking
- Experience with CloudFormation and/or AWS CDK
- Terraform expertise is a strong advantage
DevOps & CI/CD
- Advanced GitLab CI/CD pipeline design and troubleshooting
- Docker and container orchestration
- Scripting/automation in Python or Bash
Platform & Backend Understanding
- Microservices architecture
- Good understanding of API design & integration patterns
- Experience with Node.js, Python or .NET is meritorious
Observability & Reliability
- CloudWatch, Datadog or Prometheus/OpenTelemetry
- Experience with incident handling and performance tuning
**Meriting Skills**
- Deep AWS CDK knowledge
- Experience from large enterprise DevOps environments
- Serverless architecture (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge)
- Understanding of Angular/TypeScript CI/CD needs
- Automotive or workshop/diagnostics domain experience
- Experience acting as Scrum Master, technical lead, or similar agile leadership role — supporting team alignment, facilitation, and continuous improvement

**Work Model**
- Hybrid setup: minimum 3 days/week on-site in Södertälje
- Agile environment (Scrum / SAFe)
