Senior Backend Engineer

Job description:

We’re looking for a seasoned full-stack engineer to lead feature development across our Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL stack. You'll own projects end-to-end—from schema design to backend APIs—ensuring our platform remains fast, scalable, and reliable.
### **What You’ll Do**
* Ship high-quality code across Node.js/Express backends and React frontends.
* Architect and optimize PostgreSQL databases: schema design, complex SQL, and performance tuning.
* Build dynamic, high-performance React components using hooks and modern tooling.
* Design and implement robust REST and real-time APIs (WebSockets).
* Incorporate Redis for caching, queues, and high-throughput workflows.
* Translate product ideas and customer feedback into scalable features.
* Improve system observability: logs, metrics, and alerts.
* Contribute to sprint planning and raise the bar on team velocity and code quality.
### **What We’re Looking For**
* 4
- years of experience building and deploying full-stack applications in production.
* Expertise in PostgreSQL: schema design, window functions, complex joins, query tuning.
* Solid experience with Redis for caching or pub/sub use cases.
* Strong system design skills; experience architecting systems independently.
* Clear, concise communication and a bias for shipping.
### **Nice to Have**
* Experience with Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL.
* Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Background in real-time messaging or event-driven systems.
* Startup experience, especially in high-growth environments.
