Job description:
For our client we are looking for **Senior DevOps Engineer**.
**Key responsibilities:**
* DevOps strategy & roadmap: Define, develop, and implement the DevOps roadmap in alignment with business goals. Drive initiatives for infrastructure automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and monitoring.
* Automation: Design and implement robust infrastructure where automation plays an integral part of the solution.
* CI/CD pipelines: Build and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab etc. to ensure fast, reliable, and secure code deployment processes.
* Containerization: Architect, deploy, and maintain infrastructure and containerization solutions (Docker, Kubernetes). Optimize for cost, scalability, security, and resilience.
* Security: Incorporate DevSecOps practices, ensuring security is embedded into all stages of development and operations.
* Tooling & innovation: Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance team productivity, system performance, and security. Lead proof of concepts (PoCs) for new solutions.
* Collaboration & communication: Serve as the technical lead for DevOps, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and operations. Advocate for best practices and facilitate communication across departments.
**Requirements:**
* Extensive DevOps experience: 5
- years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role with expertise in infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and modern DevOps tools and practices.
* Technical expertise: In-depth knowledge of technical platforms, containerization, automation, and scripting languages such as Python.
* Leadership & strategy: Proven ability to define and drive a DevOps roadmap. Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring teams and managing complex projects.
* Automation-first mindset: Strong belief in automating repetitive tasks, infrastructure, and code deployments to increase system efficiency and reliability.
* Problem solving: Ability to quickly identify issues, troubleshoot complex systems, and provide timely solutions.
* Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
* Agile: Understanding of agile development practices and best practices for DevOps in general.
**Preferred qualifications:**
* Previous experience in financial services, banking or fintech sectors is a plus
* Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
* Relevant certifications in DevOps
