Job description:
We are looking for a **Senior IBM Mainframe developer** for our client in the banking sector
**Must-have knowledge and experience**
Key Skills: Mainframes
- COBOL, JCL, IMS/DB2
\-Strong Mainframe Programming experience with COBOL/JCL/DB2/IMS.
\-Excellent Design and development skills in above mentioned technical stack.
\-Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role.
\-Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
\-Demonstrated problem-solving skills & able to independently solve technical problems.
\-Creative, Quick learner and excellent team player and ability to meet tight deadlines.
**Nice-to-have knowledge and experience**
\-Knowledge of Java/Mainframe Integration (IMS,JCA) would be nice to have.
\-Knowledge of Authentication/Authorization methods using Hash functions (SHA-2)/ Security Tokens would be a plus.
**Detailed description of work task to be carried out**
IBM mainframe developer for the Payment Integrations area.
Developer needs to be skilled senior to be able to 1) Implement the planned changes using his/her technical skills and 2) co-operate with the other members and stakeholders.
**Allocation:** 100%
**Assignment start date:** 16.2.2026
**Assignment end date**: 15.8.2026
**Location:** Helsinki, Finland or Stockholm, Sweden
**Language:** Fluent in English, both written and spoken
**Hybrid working model:** Please note that person needs to be willing to come to office 3 days/week.
