Ework is looking for an experienced **Senior Snowflake Engineer** for our **Danish client, global pharmaceutical company** specializing in the field of diabetes care.
**Project Description:**
You will join our diverse team of architects, developers, analysts, and data engineers. Data Management & Analytics is a global, high performing department with a variety of technical, analytical, and multinational backgrounds. We are expanding our offerings to the global organisation, so we need extra resources to succeed with our journey and ambitious vision.
The overarching goal is to use data to gain new understandings and insights, drive optimisations and create true value to Novo Nordisk and the patients we serve.
**An ideal candidate profile:**
* A minimum of 6
- years of progressively responsible experience in Computer Science, IT, programming/systems analysis, or other related experience required
* 6
- years of data warehousing and relational database experience (Snowflake , Oracle, or PostgreSQL)
* Expertise in Snowflake\\'s architecture, data modeling, and best practices for data warehousing
* Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data migration activities within Snowflake
* Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS and Azure, and how to integrate Snowflake within these environments
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and lead technical teams
* Very good conceptual/implementation knowledge of Snowflake features like RBAC, Data Sharing, Snowpark, Cloning, Time travel etc
* Experience in IT platform audit preferred
* Hands-on knowledge in configuring various elements in a snowflake environment
* Strong programming skills in SQL, Shell Scripting and Python
* Experience in Cloud infrastructure management. AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure/networking/connectivity knowledge required
* Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience or cross-functional or delivery team lead experience required
* Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on technical matters
* Demonstrated problem solver with the ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex data-related problems
* Knowledge of project and system development methodologies, especially Agile
* Knowledge of operating systems, relational database architectures, query languages and interface, standard programming environments, data integration tools, application integration solutions, and web-based information solutions
* Excellent written and oral communication skill at all levels
* A Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems other related field required
* Prior vendor management experience preferred
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
